So I found this beautiful black corset at a second hand store a few months ago and tucked it away in one of my suitcases full of fabrics and faux flowers and other girly photo things. After being completely inspired by what I learned on my trip to Seattle this year and now that I have my own space to shoot in, I decided to break it out and base a dress around it. I know, that sounds crazy! Even I don’t believe I just typed that. I’m really not a seamstress but I do love a challenge! I called my friend Pam in to see if she could model and with the help of an amazing team the Black Dress Experiment was born.
I wanted it to be dark, her hair and make up dramatic, and very fashion inspired and I think we pulled it off. I’m really, really proud of how these images turned out.
