So unless you’ve been hiding in a cave for the last 2 months, you’ve noticed that it’s been a little rainy. Like monsooning. So it was inevitable that we had to reschedule Ashlee and Tyson’s maternity session several times since they were coming in from out of town. We took advantage of the one day where we had a break. We braved alligators, hornets, and impending rain to capture many of the images from this session and it was totally worth it. Did you know alligators make a croaking noise when they are nearby? I didn’t, but I for sure do now!
Tyson and Ashlee were not afraid to let me experiment, in fact, they encouraged it. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to work with a couple so laid back and ready for anything. “Will you come stand in this swamp and keep a look out for gators? — Sure!” “How about lie down in this grass that’s so tall we can’t see what’s in it? — Alright!” “How do you feel about jumping in the lake (where there may also be more alligators)? — Let me get my towel!”
I’m extremely proud of this work and honored that this beautiful couple chose me to capture this time in their lives. I can’t wait to meet this little guy!
And special shout out to my life long friend, Caroline, who came to visit me for the weekend and was immediately put to work assisting us on this shoot. We could not have made it without her!
These are sooo amazing! The hair one is gorgeous, I will call you Ariel from now on 🙂
