For Mother’s Day, Katie treated her mom Aggie to a gift certificate for a Couture by Kira session to be shared between herself, her mom, and her sister, Mary Holley. I loved photographing these gorgeous women. Hanging out drinking coffee while the three of them were made over felt more like a morning with friends than work. As I took each one away to be photographed while the other two continued to get ready, it was fun to see how different and yet the same they were. Aggie and Mary Holley both held their hands in the poses in just the same way. Aggie and Katie held themselves at almost the same angles as the other when starting a pose with me. The experience shooting all three women was unique but connected in that way only family can be! Thankful for this line of work I’m in and opportunities to share in moments like these.
