Last night I took home my Salon awards from TPPG’s Salon competition in June. Here’s me enjoying the fruits of my labor and sporting sassy award handling gloves. Note the anime sized eyeballs of excitement!
There’s a part of me that fears this is becoming irritating, but then there’s a bigger part of me that is super proud of myself. I am calling this new emotion, “Humblarrogant.”
And to top off it off, last night I won Print of the Month for this Portrait of a Man category of my goofy hubs Kevin.
As well as winning the Portrait of a Group category with this recent shot of the Brinson family.
Go me! But, it seems, there must be a balance in the universe. For every win, there must be defeat, otherwise, I don’t know – you start making wild claims like you invented the question mark. Just before our meeting last night I stopped by the studio to pick up some prints and a stand and found this:
That’s water, my friends. Water in the studio. But rest easy, it’s all cleaned up and back to normal now, save for a few water logged items that are still drying out. Shooting can resume in there by next week. Set backs make us stronger, right? Hope I don’t win the lottery or something.
